It looks great with the black wheels!  Our sorentos could almost be twins!  I'm glad they are now on and that whole ordeal is over.

Yeah, thanks! You're right. I am so happy with the new feet and I do love 'em, too. All's well that ends well. As for the twins look I agree, too. It would be nice to have them for a group photo session, wouldn't it?

Ok, I add some amphibian parts to my truck for the atlantic crossing and I guess I could make the whole trip within a month unless I sink. Expect me for the photo session by the end of September somewhere at the east coast. I am the guy with the seeweed around his neck - but I'll bring the promised beer, too. Wink Smile

Good job -special those rims & tires-
Did you think about another rims with less offset (around 20 mm) and wider tires?

Thank you for yor your comment and yes I did, but I have postponed this project for the moment.

Every now and than whenever I have the time I go off-road with my Sorie and I figured out, that my current combination of tires (Goodyear Wrangler AT/R) and rims is very good for for off-road driving based on my needs. Of course wider tires would provide a better traction, but it's in the end also a question of cost.

Maybe in the near future I'll direct my attention to those beautiful 18" ETABETA's 07Sorento already calls his own. But for the moment I am satisfied with what I have.

RE: Comments for Eric

Eric,

Quite right about service campaign regarding injectors and turbo. Some '07s need both injectors checked and turbo (ecu) 'upgrade'. Some '08s only need the ecu upgrade. There have been a few turbo's die here diagnosed as result of debris blocking oil intake in sump. (Part of process should have included oil pressure/flow test, iirc). Bad injector seals were potentially causing 'blow-by' and contamination.

If only dealers knew how to identify the requirement on their computer system (many don't). I had a letter from Kia a few weeks ago. Really must get it sorted, but I only need the ecu upgrade.
