I have just bought a Sorento 2.4, 4cyl, AWD.

In the first full tank, I have seen a consume for about 18 liters /100 kms in city. And i have use half tank for only 170 Kms.

In the specifications, said that the performance is 21 Mpg City/ 27 Highway Representing a gas consume about 11.2 Liters / 100 Kms City and 8.712 Liters / 100 kms.

When I began consuming 23 Liters / 100 kms and right now is about 18 liters / 100 Kms.

I know that there are many issues that influence the final result.

Can some specialist help me to understand this situation, and if this is normal?

I would like to poll how much is the gas consume on this model and specifications on my Sorento with others, please share it.

Hi Pechax, first off most new cars are very poor on economy for the first few thousand miles as the engine is 'tight'. After you've got a few miles under your belt you should see the economy improve ( I know mine did). From experience I find that you can, at best, get within about 10-15% of the official quoted figures.

Read your post, have brought to me some faith that i will receive something near to the standard told in the technical specifications.
But tell me how much do you consume in your sorrento 2011 2.4lrs.?
