Hey guys, doing some mods on the new car and was wondering if anyone has dechromed plastic (like plastic badges, grills etc) I've spent a bit of time reading heaps of threads on the net but all seems to hard.

Just wondering if anyone on here has tried it.

Cheers,

JC

Re: Remove chrome plating from plastic

There\'s a formula in our plating manual. http://www.caswellplating.com/complete.htm It\'s mostly battery acid.

If you want to remove the nickel also, there is another pickle you can use, or you can buff it off.
