Here's my 07 when it was on the lot back in April/May of this year.  Love at first site.  I just knew I had to have this vehicle.  It was 150 miles away at a Carmax.com car lot and I drove out there a few days later to take a look at it.  I had already been pre-approved for the loan through my credit union, so that wasn't going to be a problem.  The price was $12,998 and had 24,470 miles.  The windshield has a slight warp (actually it was very distracting) so I asked if they could replace the windshield; No problem.   I paid $149 to have the Sorento shipped from Fresno, Ca to Sacramento, Ca. (Roseville Carmax store).

First thing I did was have the H&R lowering springs and 1" wheel spacers added to smooth out the ride.  This was a very good investment.  The Sorento now takes corners "almost" as well as a sports car (yeah, right, but still, it is better than stock).  There is no more side to side sway when changing lanes, either.

I then changed the grille.  This grille is ok and looks better than the stock grille, however, I'm not totally satisfied with it.  I "may" swap this out for a Tomato grille in a few months.

The 17" wheels aren't that bad looking.  I think I'll hold on to them until the tires wear out.  I find that it will be less expense to just buy 20" wheels and tires as opposed to buying 4 new 17" Michelins.  (Think Craigslist!!)  Hopefully the tire pressure sensors will be easy to remove from the stock wheels to the custom wheels.

Coming soon:

Dual exhausts - I have the tips, I just need to have them put on.  There's no hurry to do this mod.  I'm thinking of buying the trailer hitch first, that way, the muffler shop can fabricate the tips and new muffler(s) around the hitch, as opposed to putting the tips on first and finding out that the hitch won't fit. {{smart}}

Halos - I receive my halos from Hong Kong the other day, but last night, I was playing around with one, trying to see how much it would "bend" and the thing shattered!  I thought it was made of plastic, but it's not.  It's made of glass.  Oh well.  I placed an order for another set of 80mm halos.  They're only $6.99 + 11.99 shipping from Hong Kong.

LED Blinkers - I found some bendable LED's that I'll fabricate into the turn signals, once I remove the orange reflector.  I may cover these LED's with overhead lighting covers I bought from Home Depot (to give the headlights that clear corner look).

Used Headlights - I'm going to buy some used headlights from Ebay to do the mods to, as opposed to screwing with my current headlights.

HID - I purchased a H1 HID kit for the headlights.  I am waiting to do all the other mods to the headlights first before I install them.  I may end up buying another kit for the high beams as they are really inexpensive these days, just to complete the "look".  I'm really surprised that the Sorento has the ability to have the low beams on when the high beams are turned on.  On my Galant club, people would kill to have this feature and have resorted to making custom wiring relays just to achieve this effect.
A little Photoshop magic:
