I'd think that with third row seating, there really isn't much trunk to speak of.
Thanks Hucka, the new Rexton 2 is a car one can fall in love with. The ride is very luxurious and the Ssangyong engineers have done a good job with the suspension that absorbs all the hardness of 18 inch wheels. Acceleration within 1600 – 2400 rpm is truly awesome especially when accelerated from standstill, by the time it reaches 2500 rpm it feels like a plane that is speeding up the runway to take off, I mean the backward thrust pushes you into the backrest of the seat. I think that is the torque you get to enjoy in these new generation Diesel engines. It is a Euro 4 Diesel with a variable geometry turbo intercooler.

I will talk to my dealer and see what he has to say about the powerbox. The temptation is so high to fit it and see, but don’t want any conflicts with the warranty of the car.

Unfortunately there aren’t many mods available for the car. We are all so spoiled with the Sorento with so many aftermarket goodies to indulge ourselves catering to all our fantasies in relation to cars. (I just noticed the push button start option Customsorento has come out with)

Sorentochickrox, it has 3 rows of seating up to 7 adults. Once the 3rd row seats are folded down it stays concealed under a deck. To access the 3rd row seats, the middle row (2nd row) back seats can be easily folded down by a simple mechanism. I am 6 feet tall and have no problems getting in and sitting in the 3rd row seats. (which I keep folded down most of the time as it’s only myself, wife and my 22 month old baby) The 3rd row A/C can also be controlled from the front. 2nd row also gets 2 vents.

Yes, with the 3rd row seat up, the boot space is nothing more than that of a small hatch back.
Hi, here are some photos I took that shows the 3rd row seats in more details....

3rd row seat up

3rd row entry

Boot with 3rd row seat up

Boot with the 3rd row folded down

Yes... I added chrome door handle covers... probably the only available accessory...

Hi diamondsilver.

Nice rexton2 you have there

I gotta say buying a rexton is not a bad buy at all in Malaysia. The resale value due to its popular demand has given the car great returns when selling it off.

Surprised you guys in the states dont have this car yet. Its a nice car and was thinking of getting it before the sorento but the sorento still has a sharper and younger feel than the rexton.

Another thing you will realise is that the cd player and some of the buttons and parts from the rextons interior are from the same manufacturer that supplies for the KIA sorento.

Its a very business cum executive town car. The engine is pretty good too.

Good buy diamond and nice colour too. Black seems to be a more favorable colour here though.

69000 USD is pretty steep. Its about the same price as in Malaysia. So I can empathize on taxes.
Rexton = Asian Escalade Hammer hahahahahahaEyebrow closest big thing to an escalade sold in asia.

Sorry guys, most south east asian countries dont enjoy the luxury of importing your Hummers, Escalades, Dodge Rams and stuff.

Taxes in Asia are killer and in Malaysia its close to 150% on import taxes so bringing a nice 5.2Litre V8 in Malaysia would cost,... hmmmm just about 1234981725409182 USD Eyebrow

However, H2's and H3's are being sold to a niche market here in Malaysia & you would be given a 2.7L engine to push 3000kgs of steel.

How bad can road tax be ?::

My brother has a new BMW e90. He paid 73,717USD for the basic stripped down no frills version which BMW Malaysia brings in. You dont get the 320d which churns 165hp. He gets the 155hp 320 with no adjustable passanger seat. No auto cruise. No I drive system,No 17/18" rims, ......... the list goes on. Sad huh. He does get leather seats and air conditioning. Wow ! Homersimpson

What would you guys in America buy for 73,000USD ?

Scratchchin I wouldn't say that Rexton II Accessories on Korean Auto Imports James also has this website that apparently blew up this year  into a huge line-up of vehicles. I don't suspect that will be the only things he's going to list for that vehicle too...

Nice looking SUV bud.
